Everything You Need to Know About MCM.
Methodology, scoring, coverage, API access, and how to get started - explained in plain English.

MyCryptoMonitor (MCM) is a credibility infrastructure platform for the financial influence economy - bringing measurable accountability to a market segment that has, until now, operated without standardised performance measurement.
The platform operates on a four-stage framework:
- →Track influencer recommendations in real time across X, Telegram, and YouTube.
- →Measure each recommendation by linking it to verified market outcomes within the time window specified by the influencer.
- →Score every tracked voice using a standardised, data-driven credibility rating.
- →Publish this data in formats accessible to retail investors, institutional desks, and regulatory bodies.
Existing platforms fall into three groups, each measuring something distinct from what MCM measures:
- Sentiment platforms quantify aggregate market mood - they tell you whether the crowd is bullish, not whether any individual voice has been accurate.
- Data aggregators deliver asset-level market data without social media coverage.
- Research and ratings platforms publish institutional research on tokens themselves, not on the individuals commenting about them.
MCM is the only platform that measures individual influencer accuracy on a per-influencer, per-post, per-coin basis, then aggregates that into a standardised credibility score. We score the source, not the asset.
The methodology is deliberately simple and reproducible:
- Capture. When an influencer posts content with a bullish or bearish sentiment implying a positive or negative outlook for an asset, MCM treats it as a recommendation. We extract the asset, direction (long or short), conviction signal, and explicit or implied holding period. The post is timestamped at source and archived.
- Match. We retrieve the asset's market data (open, high, low, close) for the window beginning at the timestamp of the post and ending at the close of the specified holding period.
- Evaluate. Performance is expressed in percentage points: the realised return over the holding period had a reader acted on the recommendation.
Subscribers can view up to three years of past performance per influencer, quality-check current recommendations before watching a video or tweet, and identify influencers that match their risk appetite - avoiding FOMO and hype-driven decisions.
We monitor X (Twitter), Telegram, and YouTube - the three platforms where the overwhelming majority of crypto financial influence is concentrated.
Coverage is curated rather than indiscriminate. We track prominent crypto Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), signal channels, paid groups, and large-following accounts whose recommendations are publicly observable and demonstrably market-moving. New sources are added continuously based on audience reach, recommendation frequency, and user demand.
The forward roadmap includes Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Discord, and language-specific crypto communities. Institutional customers can request priority inclusion of specific accounts for compliance or research purposes.
The Credibility Score is a proprietary, standardised, data-driven rating that quantifies an influencer's track record of accurate recommendations. It is built from three components:
- Accuracy - the percentage of past recommendations that produced positive returns over the holding periods specified.
- ROI history - the return % over various time horizons (1hr to 1 year), calculated per recommendation and aggregated per influencer.
- Consistency - the stability of performance across time, asset classes, and market regimes.
No popularity inputs enter the calculation. No follower count. No engagement weighting. No promotional inflation. Two influencers with identical audiences can have very different scores, and the score-detail page shows exactly which calls drove the rating. The score is recomputed continuously as new recommendations are issued and resolved.
MCM serves four distinct audiences, each with a clearly defined use case:
- Retail investors who follow crypto influencers but have no way to distinguish a popular voice from an accurate one - MCM surfaces this difference before a trade is taken.
- Active and swing traders who need accuracy data segmented by holding period - decision-grade information.
- Hedge funds, family offices, and institutional research desks that currently track KOLs manually in spreadsheets - MCM delivers the same data in structured, auditable form via API.
- Online brokers and trading platforms seeking to embed a 'Verified Insights' layer that lifts engagement, trade frequency, retention, and LTV/CAC economics.
- Regulators and compliance officers investigating market manipulation, pump-and-dump schemes, or misleading financial advice - MCM provides timestamped, per-influencer, per-coin performance records as evidentiary input.
MCM is currently in Beta Release and operates on a tiered access model that is free during this phase. Paid tiers and institutional pricing will be announced as the platform exits beta.
Yes. The MCM API delivers structured, per-influencer, per-coin performance data designed for institutional consumption.
- Format. JSON over HTTPS, with documented schema versions and backward-compatibility guarantees.
- Data scope. Credibility scores, individual recommendation records, holding-period performance, accuracy time series, and influencer metadata.
- Use cases. Quantitative funds incorporating influencer signal into trading models; research platforms enriching dashboards; compliance teams generating audit reports; partner products embedding credibility data.
- Onboarding. API keys are issued after a brief institutional review. Rate limits and data scope are tailored to use case.
The API is designed to replace forty-plus hours per week of manual KOL tracking with an automated, reconcilable feed.
Methodological transparency is the foundation of the product. Three principles enforce it:
- Reproducibility. Every credibility score and recommendation outcome is derived from public data. The original post is timestamped and archived, while market data is sourced from public exchanges. Any third party using the same inputs can reconstruct the same score.
- No commercial influence. We do not accept payment for inclusion, exclusion, or score adjustment. No influencer can purchase a higher rating, and no partner can pay to suppress a competitor.
- Auditable lineage. Every recommendation follows a documented chain: post URL → extracted call → market data source → calculated return → contribution to score. The audit trail is exposed through the institutional API and is available upon request for regulatory engagements.
External methodology reviews and third-party data audits are part of our institutional commitment.
- Retail and individual users. Sign up at mycryptomonitor.com using an email address. Search any tracked influencer by handle to view their credibility score, recent recommendations, accuracy by holding period, and historical ROI.
- Active traders. Upgrade from within the dashboard for full historical data, alerts on specific influencers, and advanced filters.
- Institutional, fund, or regulatory users. Submit the institutional enquiry form. A member of our team will respond to scope API access, data feed requirements, audit specifications, and pricing.
- Partnership and integration enquiries. Use the same contact form, flagging the integration type. Partner products, research collaborations, and academic access are evaluated case by case.
